Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and motivate a team of revenue and visiting officers to achieve exceptional performance
  • Instill within the Team a culture of high performance, quality standards and a customer-first mindset
  • Provide training, support, and supervision to staff, nurturing their skills and maximizing their potential.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of Business Rates administration, effectively communicating with internal departments and external agencies to resolve issues.
  • Allocate work efficiently, providing guidance on the interpretation of regulations and legislation to meet ambitious collection targets.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in leading and coordinating relevant services, with a track record of supervising and monitoring staff effectively.
  • Strong relationship management skills, with the ability to foster collaborative working relationships both internally and externally.
  • Commitment to excellence, with a proactive attitude towards delivering outstanding services in challenging circumstances and tight timeframes.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively.
  • In-depth knowledge of Business Rates administration and the ability to navigate regulatory frameworks confidently.
