Birmingham City Council is looking for a Revenues Development Lead to deal with the design and implementation of Council Tax and Business Rates projects.

The successful applicant will need to be able to hit the ground running and be experienced in project management and process redesign as well as the management and supervision of staff. The applicant’s well developed influencing skills will enable them to provide direction and guidance to teams across the revenue service.

This is a very challenging position that requires the successful candidate to work closely with other areas of the council including IT, finance, procurement, benefits, customer services and external partners and stakeholders.

One of the key priorities for the service is to increase revenue collection and improve efficiencies through the implementation of new software and process redesign. The successful applicant will ensure that change activities are carried out to a high standard including impact assessments, readiness assessments, communications and training. 

The applicant will need to possess excellent problem-solving skills, experience of planning, forecasting, and producing management reports to support organisational change.
